Chromebooks: A Deep Dive

If you use a PC or Mac for some simple tasks (e.g. email, surfing, etc.), you might want to consider a Chromebook.  Jolyn Bowler, Resource Center Director at Hilton Head Island Computer Club, gave a presentation “Chromebooks: A Deep Dive,” at the Computer Club Hour (CCH) on March 13. She reviewed the origins, evolution, and future of the Google Chromebook.

Keep It, Find It, Share It

We all have important papers and cherished photos, often stored in boxes, folders, and filing cabinets. This session introduces a practical approach to digitizing those materials and organizing them into a secure personal digital archive—enhanced by AI tools that help with search, analysis, and photo restoration. It’s about making important information easy to find, protect, and share when needed.  Ron Snyder gave this presentation on Feb 13.

Electric Vehicles - An Update

Come out and hear the Parallels to Moore's Law in the Electric Vehicle technology progress which mirrors computing's rapid advancements, with exponential growth in battery tech (cost down tenfold, range up 200%) and 2026 EVs improved over 2025.  Bob Donelson presented and is a current EV owner with his own 2025 Chevy Equinox EV.
